EPA and DHA support the suppression of the rise in blood triglycerides.
What are foods with functional claims?
It is the responsibility of the business operator to indicate specific functionality on the product package based on scientific evidence, and it is a food product that has been notified to the Consumer Affairs Agency. Until now, the only foods that could be labeled as functional were “foods for specified health uses (FOSHU)” that were individually approved by the government and “foods with nutritional functions” that conformed to national standards. With the launch of the “Foods with Functional Claims” system in April 2015, the number of products with easy-to-understand functionality on their packaging has increased, allowing consumers to obtain correct information and choose products that are more suitable for them.
