This special model commemorates the 30th anniversary of the 6900 series, a long-selling, iconic G-SHOCK model since its launch in 1995. The G-SHOCK 6900 series features a round case with a front button and a triple circular graphic. It continues to produce a wide variety of variations, blending with various cultures around the world, from streetwear to sports scenes. Following the release of the first model, the DW-6900, in February 1995, the first color variation model, the DW-6900H, was released, available in black, red, and yellow, and became a hit among skateboarding enthusiasts. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 6900 series, this model features the three colors of black, red, and yellow featured on the DW-6900H. This model recreates the colors that evoke the 6900 series’ diverse style roots since its launch in 1995. In addition, each part features a special design, befitting the 30th anniversary of the 6900 series. The 6900 series’ iconic front button is now made of metal, and the “G” mark engraved on the mirror-finish surface creates a powerful presence within the rounded form. When the backlight, which has evolved from EL to LED, is lit, the date “SINCE 1995,” the year the 6900 series debuted, appears on the LCD screen. Additionally, the case back, engraved with the SHOCK RESIST mark, features 30 star marks commemorating the 6900 series’ 30th anniversary. The packaging pays homage to the “G” mark-inspired packaging design of the DW-6900H. The special design incorporates three colors: black, red, and yellow. Furthermore, the main resin parts, such as the bezel and band, are made of biomass plastic, which is expected to contribute to reducing environmental impact. This special design celebrates the 6900 series’ anniversary.
