G-SHOCK, which has pursued toughness since its launch in 1983, will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2023 with the limited-edition “G-SHOCK 40th Anniversary REMASTER BLACK” series. Inspired by milestones and stone monuments, the names of each model from the past 40 years are engraved on the band, creating an all-black finish. Each model features a hot-stamped name on the band, showcasing advances in technology, structure, and materials. The side button features a distinctive star mark, making this a special 40th-anniversary commemorative model. The bezel and band of every model are made from biomass plastic. The backlight and case back feature the 40th anniversary logo, designed by Eric Haze, who also designed the G-SHOCK 25th, 30th, and 35th anniversary logos. The band ring is engraved with a star mark representing the number “40,” completing the design of this limited-edition model. A replacement bezel for the DW-5700 is also included, allowing you to enjoy two designs, the classic 5600 and 5700, in one model.
