This full-metal model features the dial color of the original G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000C, released in 1983. It features red, the G-SHOCK brand color representing a passion for constant challenge; blue, representing high water resistance; and yellow, signifying shock resistance. The stainless steel bezel is crafted into a three-dimensional shape through painstaking forging, cutting, and polishing processes, with a beautiful finish featuring a hairline finish on the top and mirror polished bevels. Like the original model, the stainless steel case features an airtight screw-back case. To achieve a full-metal shock-resistant construction, a fine resin buffer is installed between the bezel and case. The band connection features a three-pronged structure to disperse impacts to the connecting pipe. The metal band pieces are dimpled, inheriting the resin band design of the original model. This watch is manufactured at Yamagata Casio, the mother factory that created the original G-SHOCK.
